Biography
Alessandro Bianchini is Associate Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering of the University of Florence since 2024.
He was born in Fiesole (FI), Italy on 21/11/1982. He received his Master Degree in Energy Engineering on 18/07/2007 from the University of Florence, and the PhD in “Energy Engineering and Innovative Industrial Technologies” on 13/04/2011.
Dr. Bianchini presently serves as Associated Editor for “Wind Energy Science” Journal, as the Chair of the Wind Energy Committee of the ASME Turbo Expo Conference, and as the representative of the University of Florence in the board of the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE).
His main research areas are aerodynamics (experimental and numerical), wind energy, wind turbine design, centrifugal compressor design and analysis, turbochargers, internal combustion engine.
